He crossed the channel on Saturday eveningĀ  – a crossing of about 90 miles- and roosted on the Norfolk coast on Saturday night, about 4 miles inland from Southwold.

On Sunday he hugged the coast, never more than about 10miles from it, and made his way north- it seems clear he is following the shore as a landmark. He did a spot of fishing on the estuary at Wells-next-to-sea and then turned inland. On Sunday night he had found himself by Narford lake, near Narborough, an ideal roosting spot with woods nearby.

So will he stay in England or will he head home to Scotland straight away? Only time will tell!
